About this date calculator
"How many days until the deadline?" "What's 90 days after my visa stamp?" "If the notice period is 30 days from today, when am I free?" Calendar math questions are constant, and doing them on your fingers across month boundaries is how mistakes happen. This calculator answers both directions: the exact gap between two dates (including a weekday count for working-day estimates), and the date that lands a given number of days, weeks, months or years before or after any starting point.
How to use it
- Days between: pick two dates. You get the total days, the weeks-and-days form, and how many Mondays-to-Fridays fall in the span. Tick count both end days when the first and last day both count (hotel nights don't; rental days often do — check your contract's wording).
- Add or subtract: pick a start date, a direction, an amount and a unit. The result shows the landing date with its weekday — the detail that matters when day 90 turns out to be a Saturday.
Where people use it
- Visa windows: "90 days from entry" means counting actual days, not three calendar months — the two can differ by up to three days.
- Deadlines and countdowns: exams, submissions, product launches, weddings.
- Notice periods and contracts: know the exact final date before you sign or resign.
- Pregnancy and medical timelines: due-date arithmetic is 280 days from LMP — a textbook add-days problem.
Month arithmetic follows the standard convention: one month after 31 January is the last day of February, because February has no 31st. For Nepali calendar dates, convert with the Nepali Date Converter first.
Frequently asked questions
Does 'days between' include both end dates?
By default it counts the gap (check-in to check-out style): Monday to Wednesday is 2 days. Tick 'count both end days' for inclusive counting — Monday to Wednesday becomes 3 — which some contracts and rental terms use.
How are months handled when the target day doesn't exist?
The standard calendar convention applies: one month after 31 January is the last day of February. Adding years to 29 February similarly lands on 28 February in non-leap years.
Can it calculate with Nepali (BS) dates?
Convert the BS date to AD first with the Nepali Date Converter on this site, do the calculation here, and convert back if needed — that pairing handles visa, exam and document timelines that mix both calendars.
What does the weekday count mean?
It counts how many Monday-to-Friday days fall in the span — a quick working-days estimate. It doesn't subtract public holidays, which vary by country and year.
